The images generated by airport baggage scanners inspired me this series. I explore objects that belong to the characters from Vila Matas's book, Bartleby & Co., and how could they look like seen by a 3d scanner.

Tribute to Cadou

Clément Cadou was a 15 years old applicant to writer when his parents invited Witold Gombrowitcz for dinner, fellow of the family. Gombrowitcz was a well-known writer and very admired by Clément. He remained so impressed by Witold's presence that hardly spoke during dinner, feeling literally a piece of furniture of the living room.

Since then, Cadou renounced to the writing and decided to devote himself to the painting. He, indeed, painted only pieces of furniture and all of them had the same title: “Self-portrait”.

Tribute to Duchamp

Recreation of Marcel Duchamp's "Fountain" probably one of his more emblematic ready-made pieces.

The object is modelled in 3d, the different orthogonal views were rendered. After that I composed the image in an image editor.
